The Super Bowl is one of sport’s (and entertainment’s) biggest events each year. The hype for the Big Game is hard to match, and countless companies and brands take advantage of this excitement and media coverage. In 2014, Verizon hosted an interactive experiential exhibit at Bryant Park in NYC during the days leading up to the Super Bowl. The challenge that was presented was to build over the iconic Josephine Shaw Lowell Memorial Fountain at Bryant Park.
Mountain Productions took this challenge head-on, and engineering and sales thoroughly surveyed the location to begin the process. This survey provided the information needed to properly design and engineer the structure that would essentially cover the fountain at its final state. Mountain supplied the leg loadings for approval, and then built an octagonal shaped decked platform that would act as the base for the Verizon Powerhouse’s central video exhibit.
