The University of Massachusetts Amherst is home to more than 29,000 students and is the largest public university in New England. Mountain Productions has staged countless collegiate ceremonies in its history, and was involved with UMass’s graduation event for many years. The size and scale of the university required an impressive main stage, and Mountain designed, engineered, and built a custom truss tower stage with large scaffold wings, two truss tower video supports, and many custom printed softgoods for each structure.

The truss towers were wrapped in printed softgood covers to hide the aluminum, and printed scrim banners hung from the scaffold walls that each represented a graduating school. The entire structure was an impressive focal point of the ceremony and took up nearly the entire width of the collegiate stadium. Mountain also laid down an enormous amount of ground cover flooring to protect the stadium turf during the event.
