Paul Serkosky, P.E. currently serves as Mountain Productions’ Director of Engineering. He acts as Mountain’s Engineer of Record (EOR) on all projects and his current responsibilities include supervising the engineering department, designing structures and improving, streamlining and innovating new and exciting products and staging systems.

Paul began his career with Mountain Productions in 1994, initially serving as an intern and part-time employee, in which his primary role was as a CAD operator and Engineer in Training (EIT). Back then, Paul was part of the drafting team that just began to move away from hand drawings to computer-aided drafting. Paul’s early responsibilities expanded beyond engineering and CAD. He worked on the first company website, completed artwork for hand-painted and printed scrims, provided IT setup and support for the company’s computer infrastructure, performed site surveys, created renderings and animations for project presentations, among other tasks.

Paul received his PE License after passing his Principles and Practice of Engineering exam in Civil/Structural engineering in 2009. Since then, the Wilkes University graduate has become licensed as a Professional Engineer in 42 states. His experience and certifications in engineering are a tremendous asset to the Mountain Productions’ team. As lead engineer, Paul has worked on thousands of projects, including some of Mountain’s most impressive and intricate structures. His most recent endeavor involved the design, engineering and management of the MTN Truss HD System and MTN Truss Delay and Audio Support Towers.

Paul’s involvement in Mountain Productions’ engineering department has helped the company achieve multiple Parnelli Staging Company of the Year awards, along with countless other accolades that have elevated Mountain Productions to a title that the company is very proud of: North America’s Leader in Staging and Rigging.

Outside of the production bubble, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and his four children. Paul’s passion early on in life for music and the creative arts inspired him to play guitar and he’s been a member of a number of bands throughout his time. As a student volunteer for a college concert, Paul found himself immersed in a load-out surrounded by his local IATSE members who proved to further motivate his dedication to event production. Whether performing, assisting non-profit theaters or engineering massive staging systems for today’s biggest festivals, Paul dedicates himself fully to the task at hand. His role at Mountain Productions, as well as the entire entertainment industry, is invaluable. He continues to influence, evolve and lead the company into the future of entertainment production.
