[EVENT RECAP] Minus Zero Festival

Springtime is here, but in Vermont, avid skiers and snowboarders are still hitting the mountains for as long as they can. This year, Stratton Mountain Resort hosted the Minus Zero Winter Sports & Music Festival on April 9 & 10. The Minus Zero Fest is a dynamic show, with main stage set up right at the bottom of the mountain (quite the scenic view for a festival!). Skiers, snowboarders, and guests enjoyed 2 great days of riding, day-time relaxing, and late-night partying with Minus Zero’s electrifying DJ lineup. Mountain Productions provided staging for the festival, and provided mobile stages for the main performance area.

[EVENT RECAP + PHOTOS] Musikfest 2015

Located just a little over an hour away from Mountain Productions’ premises, Musikfest is one of the largest and most diverse music festivals in the nation. Their website states there are “…500-plus shows on 14 stages over 10 days”. The festival draws more than 900,000 people to its picturesque setting by the historic Bethlehem Steel Stacks. This is one of the most unique locations to watch a concert in the nation, as the Steel Stacks stand tall in the festival grounds, reminding us all of the industrial and cultural impact that Bethlehem Steel had on industrial manufacturing. (Fun fact: Bethlehem Steel was America’s second-largest steel producer and its largest shipbuilder!)

The Mountain Truss stage stood 80’ tall with 40’ wide sound wings and a 60’ turntable onstage. For the delay/spot towers, Mountain Productions built their newest delay tower design, utilizing our Mountain Truss towers. The 2 support structures were 70’ tall with 3 spot baskets integrated into each tower. This new design provides a sleek, unobtrusive tower design with impressive capacity.
