Insomniac Events has been a leader in the electronic dance festival experience, creating high-profile events such as the Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Forest, White Wonderland and more. Mountain Productions traveled to California to set up staging for two Insomniac events within 2 weekends: Nocturnal Wonderland at San Bernadino and Beyond Wonderland at the Shoreline Amphitheater.

[EVENT RECAP] Metallica Performs on our Rolling Stage at Yankee Stadium
This past weekend, Metallica performed at Yankee Stadium to honor retiring pitcher Mariano Rivera. Rivera has been closing games for years to the famous Metallica hit, “Enter Sandman”. The band in turn dedicated the song to the Yankees pitcher as well as feature his jersey number on their team-inspired pinstriped amplifiers.

Founded in 2012 by hip hop household name Jay-Z, the Budweiser Made in America Festival is a 2 day celebration of diverse music (hip hop, rock, pop, R&B, EDM) and culture. Located in the heart of Philadelphia, Mountain Productions has set up staging at MIA in 2012 and again this year. The 2013 event took place on August 31st and September 1st and hosted a variety of high profile performers, including Beyoncé, Deadmau5, Empire of the Sun, Calvin Harris, Nine Inch Nails, Kendrick Lamar and more.

The Electric Daisy Experience
Another EDM event that Mountain has been working with for the past few years is the equally impressive Electric Daisy Carnival. EDC is a unique festival tour that stops at New York, Chicago and ends at Las Vegas. Its extraordinary environment draws sold out crowds and die hard fans from around the world. Mountain Productions set up various stages for the 2013 EDC tour in New York and Chicago, but the stage provided at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway turned out to be a landmark project for Mountain.
[EVENT RECAP] Building a DJ “orb” in NYC
Yesterday, Samsung hosted an interactive concert featuring a unique DJ experience and live fireworks triggered by audience members. Using the Samsung Galaxy S 4, viewers were able to prompt fireworks to go off during the performance, making the event a fun and great way to promote their product. Mountain Productions engineered and built the staging equipment at the Up Next event.
[EVENT RECAP] A closer look at the electronic dance “playground” – Electric Daisy Carnival
Described as an adventure-filled playground full of interactive art, carnival rides, theatrical performances and stunning stage production, the Electric Daisy Carnival was jam packed in New York City 2 weekends ago. The event is a full electronic music festival with an additional spin, hosting various off stage performances and rides for fans to engage in. EDC is a large scale tour, making stops at Chicago, London, Puerto Rico, Orlando and finally, Las Vegas.
[EVENT RECAP] Boston Calling Music Festival
On May 25th and 26th, fans gathered at City Hall Plaza in Boston to see a variety of popular acts in the indie music scene. Performers at this summer’s Boston Calling Music Festival included Andrew Bird, the Dirty Projectors, Matt and Kim, Fun., Of Monsters and Men, The Shins and more.
Mountain Productions set up a main stage with a 50′ x 36′ Hercules Roof grid. The stage was finished with custom softgoods on the sound wings and roof header. A unique application of the sound wing scrims allows for a bottom interchangeable panel to be replaced for future uses. Mountain also provided a scaffold FOH, 2 video supports and crowd control barricade.
[EVENT RECAP] Graduation at the University of Massachusetts
Summer is the season that most of us wait for all year. Warm weather, trips to the beach, summer festivals and more are all highlights of the summer months. Many students enjoy the time off before returning to class in the fall, but each year, college seniors prepare for a major milestone in their lives: graduation.
Graduations and commencements celebrate years of hard work and commitment, and the presentation of the event can create a memorable day that families will always remember.
[EVENT RECAP] Time-Lapse at PSU’s Movin’ On
PSU’s Movin’ On is one of the largest student-run music festival in the country and a Penn State tradition. Mountain brought its SAM-550 and SL-250 mobile stages along with crowd control barricade and a mix position to Movin’ On. Brand New, Big Boi, and MGMT are a few of the musical artists who performed at the event.

[EVENT RECAP] Making History at Penn Park
Mountain Productions was proud to assist the University of Pennsylvania in their celebratory event of the Making History campaign. The ambitious campaign was a great success, raising (literally) billions of dollars through generous alumni donations, dedicated volunteer work, and support from tens of thousands of organizations. To celebrate, U Penn planned an event which included student performances, food, fireworks and high profile entertainment acts (John Legend headlined the show with Train as the opening act).
