Exploring Mountain Productions’ Fleet

Mountain Productions’ fleet is comprised of flatbed, drop deck and box trailers. Having such diverse and extensive trailer capabilities allows us to load our equipment before trucks and drivers are present, giving us an advantage and keeping our fleet moving with as little interruption as possible. Our vehicles are made up of Tractors, Class B and C trucks along with many passenger vehicles, all used for transporting our fleet of trailers and mobile stages, not to mention our supervisors to and from sites across North America.

We are constantly growing our business, resulting in the need for a larger fleet. Recently, we added additional covered wagon style trailers which follow our Mountain Truss systems.

[EVENT RECAP] Mountain Productions Stages the 47th Pennsylvania Inauguration

This past Tuesday, January 20^th, Tom Wolf was sworn into office as the 47^th governor of Pennsylvania. Mountain Productions, founded and based in northeastern PA, is proud to have been a part of the event, providing and building the staging for the ceremony. This is the 4^th inauguration Mountain has staged in Harrisburg.

The Capitol main stage consisted of a 70’ x 35’ deck area with stair access and seating behind the main podium area.

[EVENT RECAP] Mountain Productions’ Stages the 2014 National Christmas Tree Lighting

For the 3^rd consecutive year, Mountain Productions proudly provided the staging for the 92^nd Annual National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington, DC. The ceremony welcomed Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson as the hosts of the 2014 event with musical performances by Fifth Harmony, Patti LaBelle, Ne-Yo and more. For this year’s tree lighting, Mountain Productions provided the main stage, an SL-320 mobile stage along with additional support structures.

[EVENT RECAP] Custom Tower Structure for CVS at Bryant Park, NYC

This past week, Mountain Productions built a unique structure that pulled together a striking visual campaign for CVS. To announce that CVS/pharmacy® stores will no longer be selling tobacco products, a 50’ tall “cigarette” was literally put out in a giant ashtray over the course of the day. Taking place at Bryant Park in New York City, the event was an intriguing and attention-grabbing way to spread the word about their latest news.

[EVENT RECAP] Nike Court – Temporary Tennis Court in NYC

Mountain Productions recently completed a unique project for Nike in New York City. As a promotion for their new Nike Court clothing line, Mountain built a temporary tennis court that spanned a 127’ x 73’ area with an 84’ x 24’ bleacher system. Utilizing 15” JTE Tower Truss, a 13 tower system held up a truss roof at a trim height of 30’ with netting hanging down to ground level.

[EVENT RECAP] The 4 Post Mountain Truss System at Hunter Mountain Ski Resort

Mountain Productions’ largest system, the Mountain Truss system, is available in a 4-post configuration.

Recently, our crew traveled to Hunter Mountain Ski Resort in Hunter, NY to build the 4-post Mountain Truss for the Mountain Jam and Taste of Country festivals occurring on back-to-back weekends in June.

The 4-post Mountain Truss system offers an impressive load bearing capacity, but with less trailers of equipment and less labor than the regular 8-post Mountain Truss system.

Mountain Productions has had the pleasure to build stages for legendary country artist George Strait over the years. (Check out our recap of George Strait at the Alamodome this past summer here) This past weekend, Mountain traveled to Foxborough, MA to set the stage once again for Strait. For this show, Mountain provided multiple structures and equipment, including the massive Mountain Truss stage system, standing roughly 80′ tall with an 80′ opening (not including stage wings).
