Some of the most popular products on Mountain Productions Rigging Shop are the variety of chain hoist bags we offer. Our in-house softgood shop has been manufacturing chain bags for decades with the support and design from our engineering team. Combined, we have perfected a line of chain bags that fit Lodestars, Prostars, and CM manual chain hoists, along with custom chain bag solutions for specific needs.

Our featured products are all rope access items from Petzl, one of the worldwide leaders in recreational and professional climbing equipment. We’ve just added the MICRO TRAXION capture pulley, RIG descender/belay, and VULCAN steel carabiner to our online Rigging Shop inventory. Rope access is a highly technical topic that must be learned and trained upon. Climbers must have a mastery over rope access techniques, knots, procedures, and the gear that helps them get to the top before using any of these products.

[EVENT RECAP] University of Pennsylvania 2016 Commencements

Mountain Productions has proudly been staging the University of Pennsylvania Commencement ceremonies and Wharton School graduations for the past several years. The iconic outdoor commencement has a unique look that UPenn has been using for over 10 years. Located in Franklin Field, the graduation ceremony takes place on outdoor decking flanked by two scaffold walls that are adorned with custom printed softgoods.

[EVENT RECAP] Ellie Goulding at Sands Casino

Mountain Productions set up a SAM-550 mobile stage with scaffold add-on wings along with additional support structures at Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA for pop music star Ellie Goulding. The Steel Stacks at Bethlehem stand tall behind the main stage and provide a breathtaking view that is unique to the venue. For the past several years, Mountain Productions has built a Hercules Grid System in front of the Steel Stacks for the annual Musikfest (read our 2015 recap here).

One of our most popular mobile stage units is the SL-320, as it combines strength with the efficiency of quick setup and tear down. We’ve built the SL-320 to stand as the main stage as well as side stages to large festivals all throughout the country.

The SL-320 can be completely built by 8 competent operators, and takes roughly 4 hours. Safety and training is a must, but with a qualified crew (2 certified technicians and 6 stagehands), the SL-320 can be driven into position and setup with ample time for your sound check and production load in.
