January:
At the beginning of the year, our crew headed to Miami’s Bayfront Park for Wodapalooza, the world’s premier Functional Fitness Festival! For this year’s setup, we supplied our SMT video supports and VIP platform for spectators to watch the world’s best fitness athletes compete for the coveted top spot.
February:
February brought with it the eagerly awaited return of 70000 Tons of Metal – 60 bands performing across 4 days, all aboard a single cruise ship! Transporting and building one of our Performance Roof and Pre-Rig systems on the ship’s main deck was no easy feat for our crew. Despite the challenges, this is a unique job we look forward to carrying out year after year.
March:
One of our standout moments from March was our return to Miami Gardens for Jazz In The Gardens’ 16th-year celebration. Providing our signature Hercules Roof, SP-1 main stage, and SL-100 mobile stage, we enhanced performances by artists like Jill Scott, Ari Lennox, and Charlie Wilson.
April:
In April, we returned to the banks of Fort Lauderdale Beach for Tortuga Music Festival 2023! Our MTN HD+ main stage hosted legends like Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, and Shania Twain, making the festival’s 10th anniversary unforgettable. In addition, we also supplied our SP-1 main stage which featured the very best of country throughout the weekend.
May:
May highlighted our diverse range of staging systems at both Adjacent Festival and Preakness Live. It was great to get back in the saddle for Preakness Live 2023. This year, our SAM-550 mobile stage was strategically positioned to give fans an unparalleled view of the final stretch of the Preakness Stakes.
Our SP-1 main stage and SL-320 mobile stage were used for the first-ever Adjacent Festival in Atlantic City. With headliners like Paramore and blink-182, it was an epic two-day music festival by the ocean!
June:
The summer festival season officially kicked off in June with the return of Governors Ball Music Festival in Flushing Meadows Corona Park! Supplying our MTN HD+ and SP-1 main stages, we witnessed incredible sets from Lizzo, Odesza, Kendrick Lamar, and other standout performers. It marked an electrifying start to a year packed with festival highlights!
July:
For this year’s electrifying 4-days of music at Electric Forest, our crew provided a different set up of our Thomas Truss Roof and our all-new QB-7 staging system. A hybrid between our MTN HD+ and SP-1 systems, the QB-7 offers the next level in staging automation.
August:
August started off with a bang for our crew with the return of Veld Music Festival’s 10th anniversary celebration at Downsview Park in Toronto. Electronic and hip-hop combined forces on our MTN HD+ main stage with headline sets from the likes of Tiesto, Loud Luxury, and Zedd.
September:
In September, we were honored to be involved with the 50th anniversary of hip-hop celebration hosted by Kamala Harris at the Vice-Presidential residence. The event saw some of hip hop’s most iconic artists perform on our custom stage with extended wings located on the Vice President’s front lawn. What an incredible opportunity it was to be involved in such a special event.
October:
October was another busy month for our crew with the return of both Sound on Sound and III Points. At Bridgeport’s Seaside Park in Connecticut, Sound on Sound Music Festival highlighted our MTN HD+ main stage’s versatility. Featuring 80 x 40 video wings and a hefty 489,000 lbs capacity, headline performers including Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Mayer and Hozier took to our stage in front of 28,000 music lovers.
An infamous disco ball set against the backdrop of our SP-1 main stage can only mean one thing… the return of III Points Miami. This year, celebrating a remarkable 10-year milestone, the festival upped the ante with an extraordinary musical lineup featuring Iggy Pop, Skrillex, and Fred Again. Returning to Mana Wynwood always delights us, as III Points embodies the fusion of music, art, and technology in a spectacular showcase.
November:
November illuminated signature events like the DC Tree Lighting, where the expertise of our crew added a touch of magic, enhancing the festivity of the occasion.
December:
As the year comes to a close, we finished out the month on a high with our return to Audacy’s Riptide Music Festival. It was an exciting time for our crew as we premiered the APEX GEN 3 stage in collaboration with Reflections Productions. In addition, we also supplied the festival’s B stage and support structures that included flooring, ADA and VIP platforms, providing a fitting conclusion to what has been another unforgettable year.
As we conclude 2023, we proudly reflect on a year filled with extraordinary events and groundbreaking milestones. From the electric atmosphere of Wodapalooza in January to the monumental celebrations at Audacy’s Riptide Music Festival in December, each month has underscored our unwavering commitment to delivering unparalleled event experiences. With the grand debut of our QB7 stage, we’ve not only raised the bar but redefined industry standards. As we bid farewell to this remarkable year, we remain steadfast in our pursuit of innovation, setting the stage for even more remarkable moments in the years to come.
