This past year has been full of change and memorable moments throughout the world. One of our proudest moments in 2016 was when we took home the 2016 Parnelli Award for Staging Company of the Year thanks to the entire Mountain Productions team, who worked harder than ever this past year.

Mountain Productions wins the 2016 Parnelli Award for Staging Company of the Year
Our staging systems at the CMA Music Awards & Festival in Nashville brought us home the Staging Company of the Year Award at the 2016 Parnelli Ceremony at LDI. We couldn’t have been prouder and more thankful for the wonderful community we are a part of and each and every one of our staff that work hard towards making each event we work on the best it can be.

We redefined the purchasing process of rigging and production gear with our online commerce platform, Mountain Productions Rigging Shop. Our team carefully curates the best products and most commonly sought after items that production professionals look for and assembles them all in one user-friendly, efficient and resourceful website for easy online buying. With competitive pricing on the industry’s most renowned brands, our shop has attracted customers from all over the world.
This past year, we greatly expanded our product inventory and offerings, working with new brands such as Estwing, KASK, Leica, Petzl, Surefire and, most recently, Pigeon Mountain Industries (PMI) to bring a comprehensive collection of rope access and climbing gear to our shop. We have big plans for the upcoming year—make sure to visit our shop for new product launches every month!
Global expansion for the MTN BOX
We’ve spearheaded the road case revolution with our innovative MTN BOX® and crossed the pond into the international market to offer this product to our friends overseas. The MTN BOX has already established multiple dealers in the Netherlands, Germany and Ireland through our partners at Lejan, Malecon Ltd., and Algorithm. Our Spektrum Series road cases are now hitting the event circuit overseas and reinventing the way production workers store and transport their gear. We’re excited for the continued growth of our MTN BOX brand, and look forward to an even more aggressive expansion worldwide.
Staging systems provided exclusively for the Southeast and West Coast event markets
In 2016, we designated several of our stage systems and mobile stages for exclusive rental in the Southeast and West Coast, including the MTN Truss HD+ System, Hercules Grid System, SAM-550, SL-320, and SL-250. Our systems will remain in these locations for the continued use at events of all sizes. The Mountain team is excited to offer our services to an even greater range of events throughout the entire country during the upcoming years.

Mountain’s Installation Department builds systems to save time and money
Our Director of Venue Installations, Dave Piccola, has been busy this past year working on creating the best and most efficient installation systems for arenas, stadiums and venues. The introduction of our Sub-Grid install system delivers a comprehensive grid, packed with time and money-saving features. Additionally, we’ve developed arena reduction systems, automated solutions, fall protection integration and more in our installation department.
Big year for big commencement productions
Our focus on safe and strong staging systems goes beyond just usage by entertainment professionals. Our systems are used every year for commencements and collegiate ceremonies, and we built staging for some of the most renowned universities in the nation in 2016.
One of our most notable commencement projects was for Rutgers University. We worked hard on creating the perfect stage for their ceremony that hosted former President Obama as the honorary speaker. Board of Mountain Productions Appoints Ricky Rose as Chief Executive Officer and Sean Mulvehill, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer
In September, we welcomed the appointment of Ricky Rose as our Chief Executive Officer. Rose previously served as the company’s Director of International Development and his diverse background across film, music and technology will be an excellent complement to our established leadership team. He will be a driving force for our company’s continual growth, not just as the leading staging company in North America, but as an authority in product development, manufacturing, e-commerce and full-service creative production solutions for our industry.
The Mountain Productions’ Board also brought on Sean Mulvehill, CPA, to the team as Chief Financial Officer. Mulvehill previously served at State Street Bank as an Assistant Vice President in Securities Finance in Boston, MA and has a diverse background in financial statement auditing, internal control review, operational strategy and management consulting.
