While millions of people were preparing to watch the Big Game on Sunday, Mountain Productions was hard at work in New York City, playing a part in several events leading up to the Super Bowl, including the Fox Sports Times Square studio, Verizon’s interactive Power House at Bryant Park and Under Armour’s House of Innovation at Grand Central Terminal. Under Armour’s House of Innovation event boasted appearances by Panthers QB Cam Newton, ballerina star Misty Coopeland and UFC legend, George St. Pierre.
The company unveiled a brand new running shoe and set up several displays of products for sale. The event also featured a fashion show with various models taking the runway wearing Under Armour’s newest line of apparel. Attendees were also given a peak at Team USA’s 2014 Olympic gear.
Inside Vanderbilt Hall, Mountain Productions engineered and built 2 U shaped truss structures, which acted as video supports. Roughly 63’ on each side and 31’ w in the center, the 23’ high truss supports held 2 individual curved screens rigged with keder. Projectors that were rigged to the truss displayed the video and graphic elements on the curved screens. These 2 structures faced each other on opposite ends of the hall.
