While millions of people were preparing to watch the Big Game on Sunday, Mountain Productions was hard at work in New York City, playing a part in several events leading up to the Super Bowl, including the Fox Sports Times Square studio, Verizon’s interactive Power House at Bryant Park and Under Armour’s House of Innovation at Grand Central Terminal. Under Armour’s House of Innovation event boasted appearances by Panthers QB Cam Newton, ballerina star Misty Coopeland and UFC legend, George St. Pierre.

[EVENT RECAP] Behind the Scenes: Verizon’s Power House
The Big Game just keeps getting bigger each year. With the latest technology, interactive experiences and hi-definition coverage, the Super Bowl hype spans much farther than just game day. Mountain Productions contributed many services and structures to the event, including the Fox Sports temporary studio in Times Square, Under Armour’s House of Innovation, and the Verizon Power House at Bryant Park.
Anyone who has visited Bryant Park has most likely seen the iconic Josephine Shaw Lowell Memorial Fountain. Mountain Productions was challenged with engineering a substructure that would completely conceal the fountain and support the video screen center structure.
[EVENT RECAP] The Fox Sports Times Square Studio
Mountain Productions, PRG and Fox Sports joined in Times Square to build the temporary studio for Fox’s Superbowl coverage. Check out some images below of the impressive structure, as well as a great time-lapse of the build provided by Yahoo. The temporary studio was constructed using elements of the MTN Truss HD+ Staging System. Thoughtful engineering and planning were key elements in the success of this build.
