Customization. Precision. Convenience. Integration. Safety.
A great motor control system should boast all of these factors and more. Mountain Productions is excited to share some great information on an expertly designed Motion Labs’ product that is your answer for premium hoist control: the Soft Limit System.
Motion Labs’ own Greg Quinkert has provided valuable details on their Soft Limit System, outlining some features that show the effectiveness and quality of this system:
A unique system designed for each customer
The Motion Labs’ Soft Limit System is custom configurable based on the number of hoists and positions required for each individual venue and application. System components will vary in scope and size based on these criteria, making each system custom fitted for your needs. Separate modes of control are provided for either group or individual components using the same operating system. Each hoist can be moved individually or in a group mode where all of the hoists are linked. Components are self leveling with auto stops that are pre-programmed as “soft limits”.
Accessibility
The system features a touch screen, allowing the operator the ability to choose between components and select from the predetermined limits. The touch screen control has access to a PLC system over a LAN. Several access points for the LAN are provided in key areas to allow the control device to be utilized within sight of the the hoists being operated.
Monitor and maintain your safety
The system is modular and can be integrated with Motion Labs’ Load*Cells, which provide weight monitoring in real time with shutdown capability upon overweight and underweight conditions. Each hoist in the system can be monitored, and an E-stop will shut down power to all hoists upon dangerous conditions.
Control your power
Power and Control Cabinets are designed to provide distribution and operating commands to all hoists in each component. Whenever a component is deselected from operation, power is removed from all hoists in that component. Local access for a manual remote station allows override and analog operation of the system.
